Patagonia Chile
Grandpa and Grandma went to Futaleufu Chile in Patagonia. Patagonia is the southern tip of South America's Western and Pacific side. It is a very remote part of Chile because there are no roads linking the northern part of Chile with the Southern part. If people want to go there they either have to take a boat or drive through Argentina.
Our friend Jon; filmed us flying above his house.
Here is a video.

Nepal
Grandma and Grandpa went up into the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal. Nepal is in Central Asia; The Country is very remote and is between India and China. Traditionally - Nepal was between India and Tibet; but China decided to claim Tibet as a territory several years ago - so now most maps just show it as being next to China.
Here is a picture of some women resting along a trail. There were no roads for cars in the mountains where Grandma and Grandpa were. People live by growing their food and many make their own clothes.

Be well and happy.

Here is a map of the world with the Nation of Nepal shown in red.
Here is a picture of some Nepalese boys sitting on a terrace wall. The land is very steep so over the past several thousand years people have been moving dirt and rocks from the high side to the low side of the hills, creating flat spots to grow their food crops. During the rainy season the water flows from one terrace to another down to the valley floor like a giant cascade fountain.
Here is a picture of the Nepalese Village in the Mountains. The rice field terraces surround the village.
Here is a picture of Grandma at the village school. The children made garlands of aromatic leaves and flowers for Grandma. Grandma walked down the row of children and said hello and thank you to each child as they put the garland they had made around Grandma's neck. Grandma and Grandpa helped the school build a new classroom.
Here is a picture of school kids in their school boat. These children have to cross a lake every day to get from their homes to their school.
Here is a picture of a school girl helping with taking a load of produce to the town to sell at the market. Many of the children in Nepal work very hard to help their families. Many Nepalese people carry heavy loads on their backs using straps around their foreheads.
Be well and happy.
