DryFork of the Cheat River

Grandpa and Grandma had rain and rain.  Big globs and buckets of rain pouring down from the clouds which had carried the moisture up from the hot and humid Gulf of Mexico and then stalled as they rose up against the Allegheny Front beside our cabin home.

So “The rivers must be up.  Grandpa looked on the internet to get the river level readings from the gauges.

So Grandma and Grandpa packed up all the gear onto the pick up truck.  The Kayaks went on the very top.  Grandpa's big yellow kayak and Grandma's orange kayak.  The helmets, life jackets, spray skirts, paddles and river clothes went in back.

Grandma drove the truck and Grandpa rode the little motorcycle.

"We can leave the little motorcycle downstream, drive up to the put in, play as long as we like, as we float down", said Grandpa  "I will ride the little motorcycle back to get the truck when we are done."

The river was very sparkly with the sun.  The water was cool and clear.  There were fish and ducks and a deer with a fawn along the bank.

Here are some pictures for you.
